What is a Good Faith Estimate?
A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a document that provides an estimate of the expected costs for mental health services. Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers, including therapists, are required to give clients who are uninsured or not using insurance an upfront estimate of their expected fees before services begin.
At Kind Counseling LCSW, PLLC, we provide a Good Faith Estimate to help you understand the cost of therapy sessions, including:
✔ The expected fees for services over a set period of time
✔ A breakdown of potential costs for ongoing treatment
✔ Your rights regarding billing and out-of-pocket expensesThis estimate is not a binding contract, and actual costs may vary based on your specific needs and the length of treatment. However, it ensures transparency so there are no unexpected charges.
If you have questions about your Good Faith Estimate or would like one before starting services, please feel free to contact us!
