EMDR for those who are sick of just pushing through; And want to enjoy life, too.
Who EMDR helps
If you’ve talked it through, read the books, tried to “figure it out,” and still feel stuck, EMDR may offer a different path forward. EMDR can be especially helpful when past experiences, anxiety, panic, painful beliefs about yourself, or repeated relationship patterns continue to affect how you feel today.
Many people come to EMDR after other approaches have helped, but something still feels unresolved. This work can help your brain and body gently process what still feels stuck, so the past feels less overwhelming and you can move through life with more calm, confidence, and freedom.
Specialized Trauma Treatment
At Kind Counseling, our team is deeply committed to trauma-informed care. Many of our therapists are specifically trained in EMDR therapy, with Katrin being certified in EMDR and working toward becoming a consultant. Other clinicians are pursuing EMDR certification and offer additional trauma-focused approaches, including IFS-informed therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and more. Together, we provide thoughtful, individualized support to help you heal in a way that fits you.
